Why values education?
All societies are struggling

others, through drug misuse and
early sexual activity. Current methods are not working. Without a radical
change in the way we encourage responsible behaviour, the safer and more
pleasant society we all want will not be achieved.
Values education is
a practice whose time has come.
It is a radical and
very practical approach and
works by neither telling nor indoctrinating.
Values education is the ultimate aim of the many “educations”

Values education has
been around for a while but it is still relatively unknown – there are
many opportunities to make a valuable contribution. To contact CAVE use

ABOUT CAVE
CAVE was founded by Dr Bill
Robb (Dr Bill) in June 1993 to continue the values education work he
started at the Gordon Cook Foundation in Aberdeen.
Dr Bill is a management
consultant based in Aberdeen, Scotland and he promotes values education in
his spare time. His specialism is getting individuals, teams and
departments to improve performance through greater co-operation, even in
trying conditions. Much of his success comes from using a values education
approach. Dr Bill was born in Glasgow, raised in Zimbabwe and now lives in
Aberdeen, Scotland.
His MEd thesis was on
the Journalist as Educator and he earned a PhD from the
University of Glasgow. Dr Bill’s work on
Adulthood as an ethical continuum resulted in a DEd from the
University of South Africa.
Dr Bill is an enthusiastic and
knowledgeable speaker and postgraduate supervisor and would be delighted
to assist in any values education endeavour.
